Hi everyone!
This is a simple welcome msg. We are currently a small band of rebel learning technologists exploring the possibilities of SPORE. What does that mean? I don't know. You tell me ;-)
What I do know is that my kids LOVE making creatures with the Creature Creator and I can see the little wheels turning in their heads when deciding which body parts to pick. I actually think it pretty fun myself however I've had enough time to do 1 little guy. My each have 20+ each.
So does SPORE have a place in training? Is there something potentially Facebook-ish about this game that will change everything we know about games and learning? I will be bold enough to say that I believe games SPORE (and games like it) will become the Oregon Trail of this generation. I've only had one person scoff at that prediction so far and you know who you are (actually you're not even in this network, so maybe you don't)
I've seen some fun creatures on your individual profile pages and they are looking very cool. But I would like to ask if you could post them to the photos section of SPOReLearning. That way its easier for us to share and see each others work. The videos are easy to make as well. I love watching the creatures dance, and my kids are learning all the moves. Its a riot over here at Casa de Schlenker.
Cheers!
Brent
